The app reads public NBA scoreboard, team schedule, and play-by-play data from ESPN. It uses regular-season games from the selected season. It only uses games played before the selected date.
ESPN records events during a game. Each event can show a play, the team, the game clock, and the score. The app checks those events to find which team reached 10, 20, or 30 points first. It does not count a game if it cannot verify the result.
Offense reaching rate: How often the named team reached the target first.
Defense allowing rate: How often its opponent failed to reach the target first. This uses the opponent's own past games. It is not a count of points allowed.
Averaged rate: The mean of those two percentages. Each percentage has equal weight, even when the teams have different numbers of games.
Example: A team won 8 of 10 races (80%). Its opponent lost 6 of 10 races (60%). The averaged rate is (80% + 60%) ÷ 2 = 70%.
The date range under each rate shows the first and last verified game in that sample. n is the number of games. The averaged rate shows both sample sizes.
For "Nets first to 30," Nets YES and Hawks NO both back the Nets winning that race under normal two-outcome settlement. The app shows both current asking prices. Green marks the cheaper available price. A dash means that no live asking price was found.
The contracts can have different settlement terms. Check Kalshi's market rules. A price difference from past results is not a tested win probability or proof of profit. Prices exclude fees.
